Best Practices for Avatar Creation

The overall quality of a users Avatar will be determined by the data that is provided to create the Avatar. Below are some best practices to consider when providing your data.

Photo:
The better quality photo, the better your Avatar will look. Below are some best practices to follow with respect to your Avatar photo.
1. Facing camera straight ahead with shoulders square.
2. Medium shot (from the neckline up)
3. Neutral expression
4. Closed mouth
5. Size: 400 X 400 Pixels (minimum 200 X 200)
6. Good and consistent lighting
7. No face occlusions (sunglasses, masks, visors, large earrings)
8. Hair not covering face.
9. Up to 15 MB
10. Supported formats - JPEG, JPG, PNG

Audio:
For best results upload a 2-3 minutes of clear audio, with no one else speaking and no background noise. The better quality audio, the better your Avatar will sound.

Max Size: 10MB

Producing an Audio File
If you don't already have a good audio clip, you can use your iPhone's Voice Memos app. It comes pre-installed on most iPhones. Just search for Voice Memos. If your an Android user, there should be an app on your Android device called Sound Recorder. Android Sound Recorder has several file options. Select mp3 if available. If not, you can convert the file as needed. Your iphone Voice Memos app will usually record an .m4a file which is supported. If you need to convert a file into an mp3, you can find many free audio conversion applications by searching the web, with no software download required.
